Another easy card using the For Everything Set

I love the colour combo of Baja Breeze with Rose Red - thats the nice thing about Stampin' Up! products they all go so well together so it saves time in getting the right colour-match. The cardstock, ink, markers and ribbons all coordiante and also match th Designer Series Paper which I will show you in my next post.

Quick and simple cards means more crafty creations! I'm holding a Creative Cards workshop at my place and I'd love you to join me. For all details see the invitation on the side coloumn.

Enjoy your weekend!

For Everything and Half Sheet Wonder

I am really enjoying my new stamp set called For Everything; it is cute, versatile and easy to use. The card above uses Old Olive and Rose Red with a splash of Kiwi Kiss ribbon. I have used my Mellow Moss marker to colour in the leaves and added a bit of bling to the centre of the flowers. I havn't decided who I'm giving this card to........I might just keep it!
Next I used the stamps from For Everythng to create a "Half Sheet Wonder".  I got this idea from Claire Daly. This is where you just randomy stamp a variety of images on the card, and then cut it up and use as the basis of cards. I have used colours such as Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Brocade Blue, Rose Red and Regal Rose.

The card above uses the Scollap Square punch on a background of Versamarked cardstock. Teamed up with Rose Red ribbon and some Designer Bouquet buttons, I've created a quick card to thank our friends in Melbourne for their hospitality!

Have a crafty week

Be My Valentine Always

Hope you are having a nice Sunday with people or things that you love. I wanted to share a card I made for my Steve last Valentine's Day, when we were 1000km apart. Today he is by my side and we enjoyed a quiet day together in each others arms. talking, watching movies and just relaxing. Sometimes when we lead busy lives its just so nice to cuddle up and have an indoors day - especially in this weather! I'm sure there will be a sunnier day for that romantic picnic we had planned....

This card is pretty simple and didn't take long to make. I really love this pretty heart in the Always stamp set, I actually used it to make an Engagement card yesterday (used 2 hearts overlaping). The other element I love is this sweet birdie again from the Always set which I must say is one of my favourite Stampin Up sets. Steve loves birdwatching, and the other personal reference is that he 'flew' to visit me about 22 times when we were in a long distance relationship.....ain't love grand!

Why not have a go at making a personalised card for someone you know. Don't know where to start? - just contact me for help, ideas or products. It's so rewarding to give someone special your little creation!!

Card Recipe
Cardstock: Whisper White, Not Quite Navy
Stamps: Always, Baroque Motifs, Short and Sweet (for matching envelope)
Ink: Rose Red, Riding Hood Red, Not Quite Navy
Techniques: Greeting mounted on torn paper

Thanks for reading my romantic musings. Have a wonderful week.

love

Opening Our Hearts

It has been hard for me to watch the terrible devastation recently in Haiti, so much pain, suffering and loss. But yet stories of hope and survival shine through and the resiliance of the human spirit astounds us. Although we are a long way from Haiti, we can help make a difference to the people by purchasing this set of I {Heart} Heart stamps($42.95), perfect for creating pieces for the ones you love. Until the 28 February Stampin' Up! will donate $2 from every set to the American Red Cross Haiti Disaster Relief Fund, already contributing over $15,000. So contact me today to lend a hand and at the same time receive this beautiful, classic set of stamps..

Take care
